Hi,

As Chair of the Chevy Chase Library Advisory Committee, I urge you to try to limit further reductions to the Montgomery County Libraries budget. Libraries, along with public schools, are a great modifier of civilized cultures because they provide opportunities for all of us to improve ourselves and our society.

As an individual, I lament the fact that it is so hard for you to increase tax revenue because if I had the ability to direct my own tax burden, I would gladly increase my share of Montgomery County's operating expenses to help fund libraries, schools and even transit projects.
